Spirit of Patriotism
The Sacred Hearts’ Institutions celebrated the 80th Independence Day on August 15th with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
The tiny tots of LKG-A marked the occasion through activities highlighting the importance of national symbols.
The students of VII C depicted oneness and brotherhood through skits, songs of praise, and patriotic dances. The program commenced with a prayer dance, “Vande Mataram”, followed by a Sarvadharma Prarthana. President Rev Sr Shalet BS enlightened students about the saffron colour of the National Flag, symbolising sacrifice, and related it to the sacrifices of parents, teachers, and self.
The flag-hoisting ceremony was held on the school grounds. The dignitaries were escorted by the Headmistresses of both sections. The National Flag was hoisted by the President Rev Sr Shalet BS, PTA Vice Presidents, Mrs Ruth and Mr Prem, graced the occasion. The celebration concluded with “Vande Mataram” and the National Anthem, enriching students with patriotic fervour.
