
Cabinet and club inauguration at sacred hearts high school

The School Cabinet and Club Inauguration Ceremony of Sacred Hearts High School was held on 22nd June, 2026 in the School Auditorium. The programme commenced with a grand ceremonial procession in which the newly elected cabinet members were escorted into the hall by the school band. Leading the procession was the School Pupil Leader (SPL), proudly carrying the school flag. The Chief Guests, Mr. Loy Nor and Mrs Angel Monteriro, distinguished Alumni of Sacred Hearts’ High School accompanied by the Headmistress Sr Cynthia followed in the ceremonial procession.
Upon reaching the hall the SPL placed the school flag at its designated position. The proceedings were then led by the Master of Ceremonies, Mrs Addie Jolly D’Souza, the Cabinet In-charge Teacher, who extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and the gathering before introducing the programme. A prayer service followed invoking God’s blessings upon the newly elected School Cabinet and the various school clubs.
The ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. The lamp was lit by the Cabinet In-charge Teachers, the Headmistress, the Chief Guests, and the SPL.
The oath-taking ceremony then commenced. The SPL Assistant School Pupil Leaders ,Secretary, Speaker, and Opposition Leaders marched to the stage to take the oath . The oath was first administered to the SPL, followed by the other office bearers. Subsequently, the remaining cabinet members and opposition members came forward to take their oath, pledging to discharge their duties with sincerity, dedication, and responsibility.
Following the oath-taking ceremony, the newly elected leaders were formally invested with their responsibilities through the presentation of badges and sashes. The SPL then delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of leadership, unity, discipline, and service. This was followed by an equally motivating speech by the Opposition Leader.
The inauguration of the various school clubs was then conducted. Representatives of each club introduced their respective clubs by explaining their motto, objectives, and the purpose behind their formation. The clubs inaugurated were the Child Rights Club, Eco Club, Science Club, Bethany Champions, Literary Club, Electoral Literacy Club, YSM Club, Red Cross Club, Scouts and Guides, and IT Club.
The Chief Guests and the Headmistress then addressed the gathering, inspiring the students to uphold the values of leadership, integrity, responsibility, and active participation in school life. Their encouraging words motivated the students to make meaningful contributions through both the School Cabinet and the various clubs.
The programme concluded on a memorable and inspiring note, marking the official commencement of the School Cabinet and club activities for the academic year 2026–2027. The ceremony was well-organized and served as a fitting beginning to a year of leadership, service, and holistic development of the students.
