This esteemed institution located in Kulshekar is striving to excel in education by inspiring the young minds, and by spreading its wings of excellence in the fields of education.
Aided Sacred Hearts’ High School, Kulshekar
The vision of Servant of God Mgr Raymond FC Mascarenhas, Founder of the Bethany Congregation, materialized with the establishment of Sacred Hearts High School, Kulshekar, in 1943. Started to provide superior education to the local youth, the school initially began as a Girls Secondary School on June 4, 1943. Miss Laxmi Bai was the first Headmistress, succeeded by Sr M Bertha BS.
Starting modestly with three classes, the school rapidly expanded, introducing the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Forms in successive years. The first batch of 67 students appeared for the SSLC Examination in 1947.
Now in its 82nd year, Sacred Hearts High School, which now imparts co-education and is managed by the Bethany Educational Society, has educated thousands. English Medium sections were introduced in 1984. The dedicated service of all Headmistresses, correspondents, and staff has been vital in rendering credible service to society through the intellectual and moral formation of the young.
With a committed team of 12 teaching and 5 non-teaching staff, the school ensures the full development of its 344 students, offering ample opportunities in co-curricular activities. The school’s success is a tribute to its Founder, pioneering Sisters, dedicated staff, and cooperative parents.
